Final rites for Harley R. Elmore age 37 Detroit policeman and former Indianapolis resident who died Thursday night in Peru following an automobile crash will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Elmore, 631 North Davidson Street. Burial will be in Mt. Jackson cemetery. Second victim of the crash which occurred on US Road No 31 near Peru Monday, Elmore was returning to Detroit after a visit with relative sin Indianapolis. He lost control of the automobile which left the road and struck a utility pole. William Buffum, age 23, a hitchhiker formerly of Kankakee, Ill who was a passenger in the car also was killed. Born in Crawfordsville, Mr. Elmore attended the Indianapolis schools. About 16 years ago he went to Detroit and had been a member of the police for 13 years. He was unmarried. Survivors are the parents, a sister, Mrs. Ilma Thoman, Detroit and two brothers, Robert and Orville Elmore, both of Indianapolis.
